Thumbprint Cellars Tasting Lounge is just a short walk from the plaza in downtown Healdsburg.

Scott Lindstrom-Dake, the owner and winemaker, got his start in the winemaking business in 1995 while studying art and making wine for his own personal enjoyment. Using the grapes from his parents vineyard he discovered he had a knack, and much to his surprise, a liking, for the artistic process of making wine. "Making wine is my ongoing artwork," he say's of his jump from sculptor to winemaker. His personal signature is on every bottle - the logo is a Thumbprint from his very own hand.

Scott's wines are artisan crafted, small lot, micro-wines and he uses only sustainably grown grapes in his production. Sixty percent of his grapes are organic and he soon hopes to claim using only 100% organic grapes.

Scott has played around with the traditional 'Meritage' blend of varietals and adds Syrah to the conventional bordeaux blends. He has also lightened up the old-school snobbery surrounding the 'Meritage' society by naming his blends Threesome, Four Play & Climax. You can enjoy your very own 'Threesome' at their annual wine blending event. Here, you can blend any three of the varietals to your hearts & palettes desire - and he'll bottle it, cork it, call it your own & send you home.
