Inside the Tasting Rooms Jacuzzi Family Vineyards - Art, History, Rare Varietals & Bacchus!
Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, located in the Carneros region of Sonoma, is full of spirit and splendor. The 18,000 sq. ft. winery opened only two years ago and is an exact replica of the Jacuzzi Family Home in Udine, Italy.
The Jacuzzi Family, although they have shared many successes, are best known for the invention of the jacuzzi tub that has thankfully become a household luxury.
As Italian immigrants in the early 1920's the family purchased land in Contra Costa County, California, and planted grapes for the purpose of making wine for 'home consumption' only. Fred Cline, the current proprietor and grandson of Valeriano Jacuzzi, grew up learning the craft of viniculture as a young boy while spending summers at his grandparents farm.
The current winery is a tribute to the legacy of this great family and to the traditions they brought with them. The rare Italian wines many of which are only found here include Arneis, Moscato Bianco, Nebbiolo, Lagrein, Barbera and Nero D'Avola to name just a few..... Jacuzzi Family Winery makes a total of 5 whites & 12 reds!
Tastings here are complimentary and the visitor can choose any 5 wines from their selection. While here though, be sure to stroll the grounds with your Italian wine and check out the beautiful art collection of Venetian-style glass chandeliers, stained glass, marble sculptures and original murals........Fantastico!
