Ceja Vineyards - A Dream Come True

For Amelia and Pedro Ceja, Ceja Vineyards is a dream come true. They are first generation winemakers although their family has been growing grapes in Napa and Sonoma Valleys for three generations.

Their first Carneros acreage was purchased in 1983 by pooling all their resources and now, 17 years later, they have 113 acres of prime producing vineyards in both Napa and Sonoma Valley's. Although Ceja produces wines from various regions, the Carneros region wines are clearly their specialty. The one additional criteria however that each wine has to meet, is that it has to be great with food!

Amelia loves to cook and the whole family gets involved in the process in fact, they are on the verge of producing an online cooking show title, 'Salud! Napa' with their son Ariel as the shows producer. And by the look of the recipes posted on their website, this is going to be one yummy show! Should be out in Winter 2010' so keep a look-out.

Ceja has two tasting rooms to choose from - one at their home ranch in Carneros where they'll welcome you by appointment and invite you to be a part of their family; and the other in downtown Napa on First St. where they'll not only pour you great wines, but also teach you how to Salsa! Every Sat. from 7:30 until midnight.

Did somebody say Passion? It's their middle name.
