Bounty Hunter, Rare Wine & Provisions, started with one man's interest in a run- down historical building located in downtown Napa. Mark Pope, the proprietor, sat across the street one day looking at this abandoned building and marveled at it's beauty…….saying to himself, "one day, I'm going to own that building" and soon thereafter, he did.

He was in pharmaceutical sales at the time and did a lot of entertaining, during which time he noticed a general discomfort in his clients when it came to ordering fine wine. An idea was born a.k.a. The Bounty Hunter, and he decided to parlay his own wine knowledge into a business that helped people to identify, locate and procure wine they could be proud to serve at their own table.

Bounty Hunter, Rare Wine & Provisions began as a catalogue company selling hand selected wines that Mark Pope himself oversees from vineyard to bottle. He meets with the winemakers, walks the vineyards, tastes from the barrel - and as he say's, "he does the suffering for you, so you don't have to."

Fast forward to a decade later and you have what Bounty Hunter is today - negotiants, merchants and vintners - a company that has a catalogue distribution of over 2.5 million copies, a shop that carries over 400 wines, a BBQ restaurant where they have over 40 wines available for tasting, and seven labels of their own made by winemaker Tim Milos.
