Inside the Tasting Rooms Graton Ridge Cellars, located on Hwy 116 in Sebastopol, was originally an apple farm that started back in 1945. It was here that people would journey with family in tow, to pluck the perfectly sweet and succulent, Sonoma County famous Gravenstein apple for their pies, strudels, tarts, canning and simply to enjoy in the raw. The Paul family has been running the farm since 1945 and continues to do so even today only, their apples have become grapes and with the help of three generations, they make some of the finest Russian River Valley varietals in the county. This is a very local, very personal and very charming setting. You almost feel like you're going to dinner at a neighbors house only, the dinner they're serving up is wine, along with a whole lot of authenticity! The varietals Graton Ridge specializes in are: Russian River Valley Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc but, they also make award winning Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, a delicious Zinfandel Port and staying true to their roots, a mouth watering Apple Port….known to be the only one around…..and I assure you, your visit to Graton Ridge Cellars is worth the taste of this alone. I also must confess, when I took a bottle of Graton Ridge Pinot to a dinner party recently, it was unanimously hands down the best wine on the table! On a special note, Graton Ridge is one of the only wineries we've come across that shares a portion of their sales to make the world a better place. A portion of all wine sales are donated to Sutter North Bay Health Center to help prevent breast cancer and improve the lives of those living with it. Graton Ridge Cellars
